My grandfather, Alvido David Bernier was born in Crookston, Minnesota around 1870. He married Marie Poulin. They migrated to Selah, Washington, in 1903, where they had 13 children, one of whom died at birth.
He had a brother, whom he called Frank (Francois?) who lived in Minneapolis. Frank's son was named Homere Bernier and when last heard of in the mid-1980s was working on a river barge on the Columbia River. I think that Homere was born around 1908.
