My ggggrandparents, Josephine Lenoir and Jean Jacques Burnier, came to NY in the 1830's from Alsace Lorraine. Their children, Henri Lenoir Burnier (b. 1859), Theophile Julien Burnier, and Marie C. Burnier all stayed in NYC; Henri's daughter, Lottie Burnier, was my ggrandmother. I'm looking for any info. whatsoever on any of these people; I'm also wanting to know if Burnier is transcribed incorrectly from Bernier. I suspect it is, but I cannot find too much to support that, and do find the name Burnier in France. Any help/feedback is appreciated! Thanks - M. Odom
