Don't know the year. They had a daughter named Elizabeth (Lizzie) Schmidt who married George F. Sucher in Henry CO, IL in 1869. I think Catherine and Adam are burried in Iowa. Lizze and George came out west and are burried in Portland, OR. I have an old tint type picture with the name of William Berner. Does anyone know this connection?
