Beth, I don't know if there is a connection or not. It sounds like the time frame may have been about right. My father was also born in 1904 in Randolph. Nebraska. My Father was Harold Boerner (one of 10 children) son of William Bartlett Boerner and Lenora Elizabeth Paris. William was one of several children born to John Adam Boerner and Marie Anna Sabilla Wiener. The names you mentionied do not match any of William's brothers. However since I do not have any further information on brother's or sisters of John Adam Boerner, I simply do not know. Like I said the time is about right. My branch of the Boerner's settled in Ashton, Illinois sometime between 1863 and 1872, then moved to
Odebolt, Iowa in the 1890's. Around 1909 they moved to Winner, South Dakota. From information I have about Marie's family (Wiener's) One of her siblilngs moved to Minnesota. l also believe
one or two of my Grandfather( William Bartlett Boerners) brothers moved to that area. It would be interesting if we could find a connection.

Diane
