I am looking for any information regarding William J. Berner. He was born in Illinois in 1836. He married Mary Jane Wilcox whe was born in Cortland County, New York in 1843. Her mother was Sally Wilcox née Hart. Her father was James B. Wiscox who died in 1848. Salley then married James R. Parker either in Cortland Co NY or in Albany, Marquette Co. Wisconsin (known as Manchester Green Lake county today)
James R's first wife also died in 1848 - they had a son named Charles who married Polly Ann Cooley in Manchester and then he died at age of 23 in 1860. After 1867 James and Sally and daughter Nellie moved to Woodville Minnesota where Nellie married Henry S. Clement. Nellie dies in 1883 and Sally raised the children - she died in 1904 - James R died in 1874
I am a gg grandson of Abel Parker - brother of James R and we have only learned about James R. in the last year - so of course we are interested in learning more about his family -
Mary Jane and William J. Berner also lived in MN possible Winona County.
Mary Jane had Charles (1862) Nellie (1863) Elbert or Albert (1868) and Alice (1883)
Nellie 1863 married Serenus Howard Farrington in MN and they had possibly three children William, Mary H. and Minnie
William J. Berner was a printer and typesetter by trade

All of this information I have gathered just this week with assistabce from someone in Waseca Co (where Nellie and Henry lived) and from the census and rootsweb - I would be interested in corresponding with anyone who descended from any of these people
David
