Just saw your msg and began a lengthy reply, but it apparently was deleted mid-point, so this time I'll get to the point. Baltasar is my great-great grandfather. Your info and mine correspond almost exactly. I have photos of his son, Valentine Walter and wife Catherine Stein. Other photos and family history also available, some from two-pg
extract from Genealogical and Personal History of Western Pennsylavania, Vol.1,by John W. Jordan, Brookhaven Press, ISBN:1-58103-507-1/1581035071. Google search says out of print. Written, I expect in early 1900's, and I also speculate the Berner section was commissioned by Baltasar's son, Alois, who was succesful local businessman and community leader and gets majority of attention here.
