Gail, Do you have a death date for Marie-Louise Crete, wife of Louis Bernard, dit Lajoie? The closest I can come is 27 August 1792 - 11 February 1817 probably at St-Antoine, Riviere aux Raisins (Monroe, MI) Also, Marie-Louise & Louis were married 09 August 1767 at Chambly. Here is the marriage record from the P.R.D.H. (Programe de Recherche en Demographie Historique) Marriage Record: Chambly, 9 August 1767; PRDH #215467 Louis BERNARD LAJOYE; Residence : St-Charles, single, present, male Marie Anne CRETE, Residence : Chambly, widow, present, female Pierre BERNARD, father of Louis, present, male Marguerite DEMARCHETTE, mother of Louis, deceased, female Jean-Baptiste CRETE, father of Marie-Anne, male Isabelle LEDUCQUE, mother of Marie-Anne, female Alexis DELOIGNON, spouse of Marie-Anne Crete, deceased, male Antoine CHARON, brother-in-law of Louis Bernard, present, male Francois BEAUREGARD; brother-in-law of Marie-Anne Crete, present, male Baptiste DAVIGNON, brother-in-law of Marie-Anne Crete, present, male. NOTE: Louis Bernard's sister Marie-Madeleine Bernard married Antoine Charon on 27 Sept 1762 at St-Charles-sur-Richelieu. NOTE: Francois Beauregard & Baptiste Davignon were the older brothers of Marie-Anne [Maire-Louise] Crete's first husband, Alexis Davignon, dit Beauregard. The spelling of his name as Deloignon in the above record is incorrect. Also, Marie-Anne Crete's father was Henri Crete. Hyacinthe was their 4th child, the 1st to be born at Assumption, Sandwich (Windsor, Ontario). They probably settled at Assumption, Sandwich from Chambly sometime between 1771-1773. By 1791, they were living at St-Antoine, Riviere aux Raisins. I am a descendant of Marie-Louise Crete and her first husband Alexis Davignon, dit Beauregard. Notify Administrator about this message?
