Hi Mitzi...

As I was under the impression that my mother Isobelle Corbett ( daughter of Josephine ) of Tignish birth might have been a great niece of Captain Peter Bernard, I was doing a search for info on him and came accross your search enquiry.

My mother is dead, but my only living uncle ( Edward Corbett - 78 years of age ) remembers family discussions of a Captain Peter Bernard. He thought Captain Peter Bernard had a brother who's nickname was "Toff" and lived at one time on Blind Road just outside of Tignish.

I don't know if this will help, or even if it is accurate. If you learn anything I'd appreciate hearing about it. I assume you have been accessing the PEI Genealogy archives.

Good luck!!

Allan McInnis
