Does anyone have any information concerning the deportation of Jean Baptiste and his family being deported in 1755 to the New England colonies and then working his way up to Quebec by way of Vermont and becoming one of the founding fathers of the village of Acadie, Quebec, in or near the Richelieu valley. I have been tracing this family for many years and as yet do not with certainty know how they arrived in the province of Quebec from what was then known as Acadie. I would like to know your theory and its sources. I thank you in advance for any help.
