Well, HELLO There ! Miracles do happen once in a while. I am interesteed in the Acadian Bernards from Acadia and they all come from Rene Bernard and Madeleine Doucet. Everything started with the dispersion. Joseph, the younger, and his family went to the Bonaventure, Quebec area and some of his siblings children to Egmont Bay, PEI. As they wandered around Rufin Bernard married Susanne Chaissie in Richibuctou, 2Sept1831 and they settled in Egmont Bay, Here Pierre, my great grandfather was born,as well as his brothers Joseph and Israel. In the mid 1800s Joseph, Israel went to St Paul and Ste Marie de Kent where they brought their elderly parents, Rufin and Susanne. Now it becomes interesting. The above Piere, one of the three brothers married Marie Areneau, D/O Remi and Rosalie Poirier, and they had a son Eloi,my grandfather and a daughter Judith. Judith married 26Jan1869 in Richibuctou, New Brunswick Laurent Robichaud S/O Joseph and Victoire Leblanc, but this is as far as I go. If the above matches your info we do have a match. I have traced this family for almost 50 years, and have nearly 12,000 documented names. If you could add something I would thank you in advance.
I live in East Hartford, Connecticut, USA, where I raised my family and was born in Fair Haven Mass., USA. I do not know if Pierre ever went to the St Paul area with his brothers. I do not know where nor when he died. Marie his wife died in New Bedford, Mass., USA
I am looking forward to hear from you in the near future.
