I have a marriage bond for my 3rd great grandfather Lawrence Walker in which he married Nancy Bernard in October of 1817. On the bond it states that Nancy was the orphan of David Bernard deceased. This was Lawrence Walkers first wife and we see in the census records that there were children but we have not documented these Walkers as of yet. Lawrence was remarried in 1826 to Nancy England. I will provide a copy of this bond by email to anyone interested.
