I am researching the Bernard, Barnard, Barnett line from Huntingdonshire and Cambridgeshire England. The following towns are included. Fordham, Ely, Huntingdon,
Spaldwick, Buckworth, Ellington and Old Weston. I have the following.
Robert Barnett. 10 Jan 1850. Fordham. Married Julia Holloway.
George Barnett or Barnard. Born 19 April 1796. Steeple Gidding. Married Elizabeth Fuller.
John Barnett or Bernard. Born abt 1770. Old Weston. Married Ann Horsford
George Bernard. Born 1738. Old Weston. Married Ann Hanger.
George Bernard was a land owner in Old Weston.
Bernard, Barnard and Barnett where considered the same name in the past. In the past the three names where pronounced the same in the region causing the different spellings.
