Opha Marie Arnold Bernard, 82, of Rogersville, Hawkins Co
TN, died Monday, March 17, 2008 at Church Hill Health Care
and Rehab Center following an extended illness.
She was a member of Van Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bernard was the widow of Charlie Bernard and a
daughter of the late Luther and Ida Wagner Arnold.
She was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Bernard.
Mrs. Bernard is survived by her daughter, Delores Jeannie
Tackett of Church Hill, TN; two sons and a daughter-in-
law: Allen and Faye Bernard of St. Clair, TN, and Wayland
Bernard of Greeneville, TN; her grandchildren and their
spouses: Crystal Hill, Mary Beth and Tim Rogers, Savannah
Bernard, Tommy Bernard, Abigal Tackett, Holly Tackett,
Zack Tackett, Barbara and Gabriel Holt, and Rebecca and
Richard Foshie; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters: Oma
Matthews of Rogersville,TN, and Dorothy Gardner of
Baileyton, tn; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Wayne and
Edith Arnold and Carl and Joan Arnold, all of Rogersville,
tn; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday,
March 19, 2008 in North Fork Church Cemetery. The Rev.
Donnie Myers and the Rev. Rex Morelock officiated.
Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville, TN was in charge of
arrangements.
