Margaret Bernard married David McGee September 11, 1851 in Morgan County Missouri. They moved to Hickory County and about 1875 to Cooke County Texas. David McGee died April 25, 1880 and is buried in Valley View Texas. Margaret died December 11, 1911 and is buried in Chico Texas.
They had six children, four of them girls:
Mary L. McGee was born July 21, 1853 in Morgan county in the home of her grandfather, William T. Bernard.
Francis McGee was born February 25, 1856. He married Josephine Emery, died in 1898 and is buried in the Chico cemetery.
Emma A, McGee was born August 26, 1858. She married John Peabody, died in 1918 and is buried in Clarendon Texas.
Ezla Idella McGee was born March 4, 1866.
Vernetta A. McGee was born February 14, 1869.
John H. McGee was born September 8, 1873. He was living in Wise county Texas in 1930.
In 1880, Vernetta, Idella and John were living with their mother in Cooke county Texas. Also in the household was son Francis and wife Josephine. Emma and her husband were also in Cooke county in 1880.
I would like to find additional information on Mary, Vernetta and Idella as well as Abgail Harper Bernard.
