Looking for any information on Marguerite Bernard who married Ambroise Tessier on January 2 1845. Looking for place of marriage and her parents.
They lived on Allumette Island, Pontiac County, Quebec and later Gower Point, Renfrew County, Ontario until Marguerite's death in July 1881.
Information from the Ontario Census of 1871 and 1881 list her as an Indian from Red River, North West Territories (today Winniped, Manitoba).
Her husband Ambroise Tessier was born in Ste-Elisabeth, Joliette County, Quebec.
Any information is grealty appreciated.
