Hi Glen, So nice of you to contact me through Genealogy.com Maybe it would be easier in the future for us to communicate via email, if you don't mind. Bonnie Ferguson jacboni@aol.com I have your Jesse B Bernard b 1771 VA md to Milley Crewdson but I have no dates or any other info on this family group. ( What does the B stand for in Jesse's name?) Help me fill in the blanks. He and Allen are the gtgtgtgt gransons of Pocohontas through Elizabet Barnett's line. How far back have you taken the Bernard name? Jesse's brother Allen you know is my husband Jacob Bernard Ferguson'sline. In some of the records ot lists Allen Bernard's daugther's name as Mary(Polly) Bynum Bernard....do you know where the Bynum name comes from? She md Samuel Ferguson jr and they are my husbands gt gt grandparents. Looking for Samuel Ferguson is how I stumbled up on his marriage to Mary Bernard and found so many other anestral lines. The Bernards have such a wonderful ancestry. Tell me Glen how to you pronouce the name BERNARD? Is it the French BerNARD or the English BERnard. My husband says it is the English pronuciation. His line is Jacob Bernard jr Jacob Bernard sr William Bernard Jesse Bernrad Samuel Ferguson who md Mary Bernard and so on I have run into some Ferguson cousins, a Gary Barton, Lorraine Doudle and a John Ferguson who have been helpong me look up these names Lorraine says her grandmother pronouced the name the English way also BERnard. I am dying to know how you pronouce the name. I would love to share framily info and looking forward to hearing from you real soon, Kindest Regards Bonnie Ferguson Notify Administrator about this message?
