My grandmother was Genoveva Bermudez ( from Vieques ) and her father was Jorge Bermudez who in the early part of the last century lived in Santo Domingo for 13 years and from what my grandmother told when he return to Vieques he had brought with him a woman whom he liverd with during his 13 years in Santo Domingo. The woman went back because he was married to to grandmothers mother. We know that he had children with the woman from Santo Doming. My grandmother wrote to them once and I have the letter they wrote to my grandmother. They deny that they are related but we are. One of son is named Jorge Bermudez and he has gray eyes like my uncle which carries the same name. If i find any info on your father or anyone in the Bermudez family i will let you know.
