I have just discovered this website, why so late I don't know. My Bermudez family to the best of my knowledge originates in Galicia, Spain-based on research thru the IGHL and my grqndfather's writings/notes. I also refer you to the Enciclopedia Heraldica y Genealogica, Vol. 16, pages 74-86 by Alberto y Arturo Garcia Carraffa. My grandfather, Victor Ernesto Bermudez Lacayo, b. 1872, Granada, NI married Agnes Louisa Lacayo Edwards, in 1899 in England where he was consul from about 1910 to 1930, when he came to the United States. I am searching for his ancestors prior to Don Diego Bermudez (b. abt. 1697) y Josefa de Montenegro Ulloa. I will be pleased to share any information I have and hope to learn more from any of you.
