I have located some further information which may help in my search for the parents of Edward Kane born in Bermuda in 1883. He had a sister and brother:
Frederick L. Kane and Dorothy M. Kane (married William O. Whayman).
Frederick moved to the United States and Dorothy and William Whayman resided in Bermuda (they had two children, Ann and Russell).
