I've been researching along similar lines. My particular interest lies in the "merchants of Galway" c. 1640-80 who settled throughout the Caribbean and found periodic bases in the "Virginia's". Post your names, origins, and destinations and you may be surprised what you'll find.

Also, one of the most resourceful of dated sources is the History of Antigua which goes beyond its name but provides an amazing range of family histories. It is scarce but worth the trouble. If you need more info feel free to reply.
