Terrance Smith/Elmer Brown/Dorothy Smith of Bermuda

I am looking for parents of a Diane Brown. Her husband, and her obituary, state that she was daughter of Elmer Brown and Dorothy Smith. Elmer left, and Dorothy remarried a Terrance Smith and raised Diane. She later moved to Madison, Wisconsin in 1945 and married a Ernest Miner, and died in 2004. I am helping Mr. Miner try to find more information about his wife's family. If anyone has any information, or clues where I can look for records from Bermuda, please let me know. Thanks.
