Jane(daughter of Dan Scrogham of Southampton Co)married first na Howard,then (allegedly)Peter Gurley of St Eustatius & St Vincent d 1783
Jane may well have been kin(or even the daughter of)William Scrogham of Southampton Co d 1764 by his wife Rachel(da Stephen Paynter of Southampton Co d 1763?)
Both William Scrogham & Stephen Paynter left Bermuda wills referring to Jane(then unmarried,I think)
Peter Gurley was a shipowner whose ships were built in Bermuda
In 1762 he was executor to Wm Smith mariner St Eustatius & Bermuda,other executors including Wm's parents,Sam & Martha Smith
