Judy My cousin Cheryl in Colorado and I are literally SCREAMING over your finds. She called me up so we could scream together. You don't know how big this is for us. Our line is the one of Henry B. Livingston, son of Gilbert and Joy. The spelling of the middle name is incorrect (I'm sure handwriting hard to read). His middle name is Beekman. His father Gilbert is the son of Gilbert Livingston and Cornelia Beekman. You have confirmed another piece we could not confirm. We have tracked a Henry Beekman Livingston to Craven, North Carolina. We have his will from 1801 I believe. He died in 1803. He apparently had a first wife with whom he had Fanny, Nancy, Samuel and Philip. He had a second marriage. In his will he kind of made it know he didn't like his children much. Our final hard evidence we need is that this Philip noted above is Philip Beekman Livingston (our direct ancestor). It was this Philip who married Mary Archbold, daughter of Francis Archbold, settler of San Andres and Providence. They married and settled in Jamaica. Their son Philip Beekman Jr. became quite the hero to the people of San Andres, starting the first Baptist Church there. I could give you more information than you probably want. Cheryl and I were talking this afternoon about a trip to New York, Bermuda, San Andres, Jamaica and North Carolina. Could you tell me if there is some way to get copies of these records? Not sure if they are only in book form at this point or if copies still exist. Your help is priceless and I am very grateful. Notify Administrator about this message?
