I'm attempting to sort out the various Packwoods in Bermuda and am looking for more information on the following three Packwoods.
1&2) brothers John and Joseph Packwood, born 1711 and c1710 respectively. John Packwood moved to St Eustatius and married Maria Ratterie. Joseph Packwood married Mary Davis. [source: Genealogy of the Cleveland and Cleaveland Families]. Joseph Packwood had at least two sons, William & Joseph. The sons moved to Connecticut, USA.
3) Joseph Packwood born about 1762 in Bermuda. Served in the British Navy, rising to rank of Commander. Retired and died in Naples, Italy in 1835. Joseph's will mentions the family of his deceased cousin Samuel Trott of Bermuda, including Samuel's wife Sarah and children: John Henry, James Augustus, Perient?, Thomas Packwood, Catherine Packwood, Mary Ann, and Eliza Susan. [This appears to be the family of Hon. Samuel Henry Trott & wife Sarah Musson]
Joseph's mother was Catherine? Smith, one of the four daughters of Thomas "Collector" Smith.
1) Did the Joseph Packwood who married Mary Davis have any other children?
2) Who was the father of the 1762 Joseph Packwood? How was he related to brothers John & Joseph?
Any and all information gratefully received.
