I am looking for the parents of the above but have so far come up dry.
He enlisted in 1823 and was attested into the 96th Regiment of Foot in Kilkenny in '24
He was three years in Bermuda, eight years in Nova Scotia and then went to Australia for the rest of his life, as far as I know.
He married Mary Keenan but where and when is a mystery.
They produced my Gt. Grandfather Henry in 1847 at Port Arthur in Tasmania.
Any info on his parents (or siblings) would be greatly appreciated.
