Captain Peter Godfrey was born in 1765 in Bermuda and married Susanna Albouy in 1790, who was born in 1769 Bermuda and died 10 June 1791 at Pitts Bay, Spanish Point.

Captain Peter Godfrey and Captain William Godfrey are brothers, sons of William Godfrey who I have married to a Mary Goodman, but she is not his first wife or birth mother to the Captains Peter and William.
I have William Godfrey and Mary Goodman's marriage date as 7 July 1797.
My guess at the moment is that William Godfrey( father of Peter and William) might have originally come from VA and is related to the William Godfrey that sold 550 acres in Elizabeth Parish to William Joell in 1714, as you mentioned in your posting.
