My direct lines are JULIAN/ BULLOCK in my MURRAY/ JULIAN/ line and in our RICHESIN/ MURRAY lines are the LUTTRELLS though they are not my direct line they are cousins of sort.
In doing our DNA on our ROGERS family ( paternal lines of my father -- with the maternal lines of my father being RICHESIN/ MURRAY/ JULIAN ), we have found our ROGERS may go back to a JOHN ROGERS b. 1617 England or Wales, and that some have listed this John Rogers as son of either another JOHN of Wales or John b. 1617 is son of EDWARD ROGERS of SOMERSET ENGLAND to Jamestown. John Rogers b. 1617 England or Wales came on ship "George " in 1635 with his brother THOMAS ROGERS. This John Rogers and Thomas Rogers supposedly met their father EDWARD ROGERS in JAMESTOWN and then JOHN ROGERS is later in Surry Co. VA as well as being in HOUSE of BURGESS etc.
When I started doing some research on ROGERS in SOMERSET ENGLAND we found many, and also found a JULIAN LUTTRELL who had given his DUNSTER CASTLE to the NATIONAL TRUST. It was fascinating to see the names of JULIAN with LUTTRELL for we know both surnames are in our MURRAY line in U. S.
There seems to be several LUTTRELLS in SOMERSET ENGLAND area but I have not researched enough to know yet if there were JULIANS in Somerset England and thought you might know.
Interesting is that in my other paternal lines are the suranmes of BULLOCK/ PAYNTER in JULIAN lines, as you know and they are also in BARBADOS at same time as my other PATERNAL lines of FIELDS/ SMITH/ KIRTONS and others. All seem to either be ENGLISH or SCOTTISH and possibly by way of HOLLAND to BARBADOS after leaving ENGLAND. The KIRTONS are out of BURGHFIELD, BERKSHIRE ENGLAND and we aren't sure where our FIELDS were who are thought to be the French line of Del a Field from Colmar Region in France then to ENGLAND then to BARBADOS. The FIELDS came into Onslow Co. NC in 1740 and wouldn't you know there are BULLOCKS on their military records there with our FIELDS.
This could all just be coincidental but thought I would mention it to you, in case you would want to follow up on this . . . .
Here is what I found about our FIELDS in Onslow Co. NC along with surname of BULLOCK. ( RICHARD FIELDS and wife ANN KIRTON along with their son J. SMITH FIELDS are in ONSLOW CO. NC after arriving there in 1740 from BARBADOS where earlier BULLOCKS and PAYNTERS are listed as well ( I think prior to BERMUDA files on them ? ) :
We see that the names of RICHARD FIELDS and SMITH FIELDS are listed on the 1754 Onslow Co. NC Regiment of Militia. They were in a list of White Oak Company, of a list of CAPT. STEPHEN LEE's Company on White Oak River, and belonging to Col. John Starkey's Reg. in ONSLOW CO. Also on same list of men who served then were PETER STARKEY, SAMUEL GREEN, ANTHONY MITCHELL, "GEORGE BULLOCK".
Also listed in another file is The Commonwealth of ONSLOW's North East Company of a list of company of foot soldiers under command of Capt. Richard Ward in the REGIMENT commanded by Col. JOHN STARKEY. We also noted a familiar name of MOSES COX listed in the 1754 ONSLOW CO. NC MILITIA then too. We see STARKYS name in many of the FIELDS records in NC.
No further info on GEORGE BULLOCK of ONSLOW CO. NC.
