I'm looking for information about Amelia Routledge (b.about 1861) in Bermuda. She was known as "Cassie" within the family.
Her father was William ROUTLEDGE (b. about1828, in Hayton, Cumberland). According to the 1881 Census in Carlisle, Cumberland, UK, he was retired from the Royal Artillery - an overseas posting may account for Cassie's exotic birthplace!)
The family had returned to the UK within three years as the next sibling is James Routledge, born about 1863 in Gosport, Hants., and all subsequent children were born at various locations in the UK.
Cassie married and her name changed to NICHOLL; she had two daughters: Dorothy and Bessie (Elizabeth).
