If anyone may have any information on my 3rd Great Grandfather, John Samuel Teas who supposedly escaped Point Lookout Maryland prison (Civil War 1863-1865) and caught a boat to Savannah , Georgia, in which before they arrived in GA., had contracted Yellow Fever, and were diverted to ST.George, Bermuda, where they died,(200 unmarked graves?) I would appreciate it.This is the way the legend has been told in our family for over 150 year's now.If anyone can confirm, or disprove this information, it would be a much needed help to many families who just don't know where John S. Teas is buried, or his whereabout's at that time in history. Thank you in advance to anyone who has information. Sincerely, Vicki Baird.
