Patricia, Sorry I can't help you on any Dunscombs from Antigua. I do know that many of them were seafaring men. Our Daniel was captain of a number of ships from New York that sailed to Barbados, Curacao, Antigua, and the Caicos Islands back in the early 1700's. I read that some left the south (Virginia, South Carolina) after the Civil War and settled in Barbados and as you probably know, the name is said to have originated in Devon. There was a John Dunscomb listed in the Doomsday Book in Devon in the 1500's. Wouldn't it be great if a direct line could be traced that far back! Good luck with your search. I'll be sure to let you know if I come across anything re Antigua. Marge
