John Tucker Family

I'm trying to research part of the Tucker Family. I didn't know if they might be related to the Tucker's of Bermuda or not. The man I'm researching is John Tucker. Either him or his father, supposedly owned the land where the tallest building now stands in long Island, New York (as of 1960's).
He later moved to Tennessee, then to Indiana and finally down to Crawford/Pulaski County, Missouri by the 1820's. He had a son named Daniel Tucker, born about 1812 in either Tenneessee or Indiana. He had another son named John Tucker, Jr. However, we can't seem to find anything out about the main john tucker. Could anyone help me?
