My Berminghams came from Rathangan in Kildare. Denis came to Australia in 1856, his brothers Thomas and James had already migrated. In 1874 Thomas left money in his will to his mother Mary, sister Frances and brother William, all of Rathangan. Denis had 12 children and on their birth certificates he gave his bith place as Kings Co, Queens Co and Kildare. His father was Denis also who was married to Mary Conlon (Connellan).
