I am part of a team writing a history of engineering in the area: as part of our research I met your father the other day at his home, and had the pleasure of meeting your brother Patrick at a luncheon recently. This sparked our meeting with 'C.W.' Prior to this I knew only the name locally from construction crew trucks .....

We got into conversation with your father on family lines, etc. as both myself and the engineer I am working with have loyalist ancestors - mine being from the Kingston area.

I stumbled on this forum quite by accident.... should dust off my family tree, I guess, though 'Smith' is a bit of a challenge!
