I, too have wondered about the liklihood of a connection between the familes, because I am a descendant of both. Since the families were both Amish or became Amish, it seems even more likely. I have a good bit more information about Magdalena who married Stephan Kurtz since I descend from TWO of their sons, Stephen and Hans as well as a third, as yet unlrelated Kurtz who was also Amish. While I do not have parents of Magdalena, I have a lot of her descendants. Since you did not descend from one of the five who died young, you must descend from Ameli/Anneli/Anna, Hans or Stephen. I cannot help you with Anna's husband or children, but if you descend from either Stephen or Hans, let me know and I will tell you what I can.
