I have a Christian Beringer in my tree that came thru Ellis Island with his parents in 1903.His parents were Johnann and Katarina(Ketterling)The name of the ship they sailed on was the "Graf Waldersee"and they were Germans living in Russia. The birth date I have is March 24 1884.He married Christina Hermann in 1916 in Eureka,S.D.and had 9 children.Christians father may have had a brother named Christian too. There are two brothers that I know of named Frederick and Jacob that started the Beringer Brothers Winery in Napa Valley, the 1880s.When they arrived here they were coming to stay with a brother, but I dont know his name for sure.I found some info thru immigration records, census records and family.I hope this info helps! If I can be of more help let me know.P.S...The birth place I have is Bergdorf,Russia.
