Thank you so much for what you wrote. I posted what you read on the Sweden Forum as well and yesterday I got a response that was incredible. The names mentioned were orphaned as little children and Johan August Hedin and a brother that I knew nothing about, Carl Alfred, were taken in by a family by the last name of Bergstrom...they kept that last name...John August Bergstrom...as he went by in America, has been totally found and identified. I even have his death certificate. Annie, his sister and my Great-grandmother has been found as well but we haven't found where she went when her parents died until she immigrated to the US on 4/25/1887. Also, a little curious why she adopted the unmarried name of Johnson (as spelled on her marriage certificate) instead of her family name of Hedin but her father's name was Johan Sparring Hedin and her mother's name was Greta Gustafsdotter. Just rather curious on her choice of last names unless it was just something that was given to her because of her father's first name?? Thank you so much for you help...I appreciate it so much.
