Bergeron Family Genealogy Forum

This is somewhat of a long shot, but just for discussion: My grandfather was Henri Louis Bergeron (B. 1891 in Highwater, Quebec). The story in our family was that the name of Bashaw was used in the US. How or why I do not know. None of my Bergeron relations at that time were named David or Loriel. However, the Bergerons in my lineage came from the Catholic parish of Saint Andre in Sutton, Quebec and Saint Dominique in Saint Hyacinthe, Quebec. The tricky part about Quebecois genealogy is that one must know the Catholic parish where the records are kept. You might want to try those two parishes. The Bergerons were very populous in the Saint Hyacinthe region of Quebec. Bonne chance!
