Dear Joan,
Your g-grandfather, Edmond, was the brother of Deliska Bergeron Pilon, wife of Felix Olidat Pilon. He was better known as Eli. The family left Quebec to follow the lumbering industry. Eli was a foreman at Washburn. We saw his name in a directory, and my grandmother Mable Pilon LaPorte was born in Washburn in 1896. We visited there a couple of summers ago. From my experience in genealogy, the families often traveled together. I wondered why Eli and Deliska went there alone, since we had no knowledge of any other family being there. Now I know they weren't alone!

The family left there as the area was cleared. They came to Pinconning and lived on a farm there. Later they moved to Linwood, Michigan about 8 miles away. There are Bergerons in that area, are you related to them as well.

I have some pictures, but none of Edmund, but of Deliska and her sisters. I think there is a picture of her mother.
