Looking for Roots of Menenalouas Bergeron/Julia Matte-Louisiana

I'm doing a family research project and getting information together about my dad's side of the family. My great-grandparents were Bergerons. I had discovered a web site with Bergeron family information on it, but wasn't sure if that Bergeron family was the same branch. So if any one has any idea/clues/information on which Bergeron branch my great-grandpa came from, it would really be helpful.

This is all the information that I know:

Menenalouas Bergeron grew up around Church Point, Louisiana area. He had some Choctaw blood in him. He married Julia Matte, whom I had heard was MicMac. Together they had 16 children, one of whom is my grandmother.
