An online file had a birth date of 9 Jul 1874 in Yamaska. No parents listed.
In the 1880 Census the only Joseph in Yamaska [St Michel] born in 1874 was the son of Joseph Bergeron and Exirile.
I think the couple was Joseph Bergeron and Exirile Gelinas.
I don't know if the info will help you as Joseph is such a common name.
