Which Jean Baptiste BERGERON was he??

My sister-in-law's parents were Edouard Wilson BERGERON (28 Sep 1884 - 15 Sep 1964) and Laurentine Josephine MARCEL (6 Aug 1889 - 21 Dec 1992; NO, that is not a typo). We have her ancestry (including BERGERON back to Joseph (Cir. 1520) in France, but have been stuck on Eddie's father, Jean Baptiste BERGERON, who was married to Marie LEGRAND (1867 - 1931/32), d/o Louis & Pauline Elise CROCHET. They married 22 Nov 1883 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Houma, Terebonne, LA (v.5, p.162); the marriage license did not list the parents for either. Jean Baptiste died Cir. 1901 when Eddie was about 17 years of age. There are 20 Jean Baptiste BERGERONs in my database. Of course, most of them are too old to have been this man. We have narrowed it down to a couple of choices, but we cannot make a positive connection for him. Does anyone have the parentage of this Jean Baptiste BERGERON?
