There is Louis Berger listed in our family among the siblings of my Grandfather who was Abraham Isaac Berger. This was a Jewish family of eight children. There is very little I know about these siblings but there was a note that Louis had at least one daughter and that he was a carpenter. This was in Chicago area.
Louis and Abraham were two of the sons of Haskell Berger who came to this country from what was then part of Russia but is now in the area that borders on Germany and Poland. Haskell and his wife, Mary arrived in this country in the early 1890's and many, if not all of their children were born in the old country. I think the birth of Louis would have been after his brother Abraham who was born about 1872 or so.
This may not even be close to a match but was worth a try. If you want to learn more about this family please let me hear from you and you can go to my web pages to learn more too at: http://train.missouri.org/~eljay/haskellbio.htmhttp://train.missouri.org/~eljay/haskellbio.htm
