I notice you are searching for a Darius Berger. I am wondering if this is the same Darius Berger that is showing up in Warren Co., IA.
The following is an excerpt:
WALLACE CEMETERY is located in the southeast quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 33 of Jefferson Township. It is one-eighth mile west and one-eighth south of Wick, Iowa. Take Highway 92 west out of Indianola, Iowa, for nine miles, turn south on the paved road and go one-half miles south then west three-fourths mile to Wick. The cemetery is one-eighth mile to the north.
The first death in Jefferson Township was that of James Rayn who drowned on July 6, 1846. The first birth was Henry Johnson, son of Lewis and Nancy Johnson. He was born on May, 1847. On August 15, 1847, Jane Berger, daughter of Ulysses and Margaret C. Berger was born.
A class of Methodists Episcopals started meeting in the Wick neighborhood in 1848. Original members were John Wallace, Julia Ann Wallace, Elizabeth Berger, Margaret Berger and Darius Berger. The Wesley Methodist Episcopal Church was erected in 1871 at the cost of $1800. It was rebuilt in 1896 and cost $1,000.
