I'm sorry...but I don't think I got your email. I'm fascinated with the idea that Homer & Maude's baby might have been your grandmother (or is it gt-grandmother?)! What was her name? Why would she give her up for adoption?? I would be glad to share any information I have on Homer...unfortunately, I really know nothing about Maude. I have some of Homer's family history. His Sister (Lucina) was one of my favorite aunts. I only heard Grandpa Homer speak about his little girl once...and I thought he said she died...but he may have just told me that to keep things uncomplicated because I was quite young. But he seemed to grieve her...and he never had any other children. My father was his step-son...they were cordial but not close....but I adored my step-grandfather....he was wonderful to me. He had a stroke when I was a baby, so I only knew him partly paralyzed...he walked with a cane & a brace on his leg. I have photos of him as a baby, and when he was fairly young working on oil rigs in Bakersfield. I wonder how we can get more information about did you know that your gt-grandmother's name was Maude?
This is really interesting! Cheryl
