In Reply to: Fred Berger Family 1850's Switzerland by Diane Berger of 1094

I have just found a Fredric Berger in Bremer Co., Iowa who arrived from Switzerland in 1854. He was born 22 Feb 1847 and died in Readlyn, Maxfield Township, Bremer Co., Iowa. He was married to my Gt Grandfather's
sister, Augusta Lange who came from Germany with her family in 1861. She was born Aug. 4, 1850 and died March 31, 1926. Both are buried in St. Matthews Luthern Cemetery in Readlyn. I found their census in Dayton Twp.
for 1880 and 1900 and was sent by one of the county lookup people a whole list of family members and their church dates. The 8 children listed in the 2 census records are:
Edward, Fred, Emma, John, Lydia, Wilhelmina, William, and Rudolph. I will be getting the 1910 and 1920 also. Hope this info helps.
