Although I was born in Phila. in 1927,I left
to enter the last full year of WWII, and set-
tled in California, and now reside in Color-ado.My father was Joseph G. Berger, born in
1904;my mother was Caroline R. Moore,1906-1970.
Thomas E. Berger, 1845-1910, was my g-grand-
father, and he was a hero of the Civil War,
having been wounded twice, when he was color-
bearer and a Sgt.in the 90th Regmt. of P.A.
Vol. Infantry. His son, my grandfather, was
Lewis C. Berger, 1876-1939, whom I was named
after. All were of the Protestant or Catholic
faith.
Other surnames, connected with my family, are
Walker,Campbell,Mingle,Moore, McManus,Schaefer and others in Calif. and Colo. Some 1st cousins (once removed) still
reside in Penna.
I have 3 sons in Co., and a brother and sister still in Calif., and 2 nephews named
Berger living in Wash. State.
I would enjoy hearing from anyone who may
be related.
