For those interested in the Berger family Sasbachwalden, Ortenau Dist., Baden-wurttemberg, Germany... our ancestress is Maria Ann Berger, d/o Jacobi Berger, she married Laurentius Doll from Sasbachwalden, and moved a couple of miles south to Waldulm, Germany, where they raised grapes on a hill in Waldulm, called Oberberg. These wonderful little towns are near Achern, Germany, about 30 miles south of Baden-Baden.Both are nestled in the high foot hills of the northern Black Forest. The church in Sasbachwalden is the Dreiheilige Katolishekirche (Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
In Waldulm, the church is: St. Albinus Katolickirche.

This land is very picturesque, that endured the Thirty Year War, black plague, great hardship, famine, Napoleanic Wars, Civil War, and mass emigration to America.A fairtale atmosphere, complete with castle ruins, cookoo clocks, and half-timered homes.
