I know that my grandfather came fron Latvia with his family. My grandfather said his father couldn't read. When they got here, his father was shown a list of "American" names, and my great grandfather just pointed to one.

I am starting to understand that my grandfathers mother died young and that a bunch of the kids ended up in foster care/adopted maybe?

I was aware of my grandfather and four of his brothers, and two sisters.

I'd love to compare notes --- the thought of having a bigger family is very exciting to me!

Adina
