William Bergen (b:in May of about 1839 in Ireland d:2 Feb 1894 in Tennessee). William married Margaret ???(b: about 1840 in England d:22 Nov 1908 Texas)
William and Margaret had the following known children:
Thomas Bergen born about 1863 TN
John J. Bergen born 6 Dec 1866 TN died 1 Nov 1910TN
William Bergen born Jan 1869TN died 26 May 1873 TN
Mary Katherine Bergen born 15 Oct 1873 TN married Joe W. Garner 1 July 1903 in Tennessee
Margaret Josephine Bergen born 21 Nov 1877 died 1959 TX married S. A. Rutherford 9 June 1901 in Tennessee.
John J. Bergen was a noted tenor. He sang in Memphis and New York among other places. There were quite a few newspaper articles about him.
