This is funny, for my Grandfather Reinheld Christiansen, changed his name to Berg when he came from Norway. He married my Grandmother Petrinella Hauge in Mineapolis,MN. then raised 5 children in Wilmar,MN. They went back to Norway, for my grandmother inherited the farm. They came back to Duluth,MN. in 1916. They adopted an Edna Thorpe, she was called Edna Berg. Oh yes, my grandfather was a contractor of Wooden Sidewalks in Duluth, & they lived across the street from the Thorpe's Store on West 8th Street.
